Villa Litera Seminyak

Frangipani trees drop their blossoms onto the deck at Villa Litera Seminyak, where a shingle-roofed bale piled with green cushions sits at the head of a long, glassy pool. Three single-storey pavilions wrap around the water, so every bedroom opens almost straight onto it, and the whole house feels like a private courtyard hidden behind high walls in Kerobokan.

Each of the three bedrooms has a king bed, its own TV and floor-to-ceiling glass doors to the pool, and each comes with a generous ensuite where the showpiece is a freestanding stone bathtub set in a walled garden, open to the sky. The living pavilion has a timber-beamed roof over an air-conditioned lounge with a Bluetooth speaker for music, plus a modern kitchen with a broad island and a dining table for six. Outside, sunloungers line the deck and the bale is the natural spot for a lazy afternoon or a drink as the lights come up around the pool.
