Villa Mabahata
Why We Recommend Villa Mabahata
Villa Mabahata makes its first impression with a bright white two-storey facade mirrored in a long, clear pool, its edges softened by a dense border of red cordyline, palms and ferns. Inside, the look is crisp and airy, with pale floors, high ceilings, woven wall art and driftwood details, and the whole ground floor opens to the water through wide glass doors.
The pool is the heart of the place, a nine-metre stretch with stepping stones, a row of cushioned sunloungers and a shaded terrace for long breakfasts outdoors. Indoors, a generous lounge with a glass-topped driftwood coffee table flows into a dining room set for eight and a kitchen with a breakfast bar. Four bedrooms, each with a king bed and its own bathroom, are spread across both floors, and the upstairs rooms look out over the treetops.
The location is central Seminyak at its most walkable. The cafés and boutiques of Jalan Kayu Aya are a short stroll away, La Favela and a string of favourite restaurants are around ten minutes on foot, and the beach is close enough for a sunset walk. A friendly housekeeper keeps everything immaculate and can prepare breakfast by the pool each morning.
