Villa Meliya

Villa Meliya brings together the warmth of traditional Bali and the clean lines of a modern home, in a peaceful corner of Kerobokan between Seminyak and Canggu. Walk in and the first thing you see is a thirteen-metre pool shaded by frangipani trees, framed by timber decking, sunbeds and a cushioned gazebo, with a soft green lawn beyond where children can run about.

Inside there are two distinct living spaces. A lounge beneath a soaring joglo-style roof opens to the garden, with an L-shaped sofa and a big flat-screen TV, while a separate air-conditioned media room offers a home cinema and a PlayStation for movie nights and rainy afternoons. The sleek kitchen has a breakfast bar with stools and leads to a teak dining table that seats eight, looking straight out over the garden.

Four bedrooms suit two families travelling together: two king master suites, one looking over the garden and pool and the other tucked away on the far side of the villa, plus two twin rooms. Every room is air-conditioned with its own bathroom, and the master bathrooms have deep freestanding tubs. A team of five is on hand around the clock, daily breakfast and an arrival transfer are included, and the cafés and restaurants of Kerobokan and Seminyak are close by.
