Villa Moonstone

Villa Moonstone is a spacious split-level home in Nai Harn, at Phuket’s relaxed southern end, built for big families and groups who like to have plenty going on without leaving the house. The main floor holds the pool, living spaces and most of the bedrooms, while a whole lower level is given over to play, with a billiard table, table tennis and a home gym. With room for up to fourteen guests, it lets grandparents, parents and teenagers each find their own corner, and Nai Harn Beach is close by.

The pool sits in a sheltered courtyard, wrapped on two sides by the house and edged with timber decking and white parasols. Glass doors run along the living room and bedrooms, so the water is in view from almost everywhere. A covered terrace by the pool has a long glass-topped dining table, and a separate sala beside the water holds a second table for eight, with green, wooded hills beyond. At dusk the lights come up under the eaves and the courtyard turns a deep, glowing blue.

Indoors, a big living room with deep red leather sofas, a television and shelves of books opens onto the terrace, and a ten-seat dining table sits beside a modern, fully equipped kitchen. Each bedroom has its own colour, from a crimson suite with a canopy king bed to bright blue twin rooms ideal for children. Downstairs, the games room also has two sofa beds for extra sleepers. Housekeeping is included, and meals can be cooked at the villa with groceries charged at cost.
