Villa Noya

From the upstairs balcony at Villa Noya, the view stretches over palm tops and rooftops all the way to the outline of Bali’s volcanoes, glowing pink and violet as the sun goes down. Below, a slim turquoise pool runs alongside a timber deck and a strip of lawn, hemmed in by banana palms and heliconia. It is a stylish four-bedroom home at the end of a quiet street in Berawa, close enough to stroll to the beach yet comfortably removed from the bustle.

The ground floor opens fully to the garden, so the lounge, dining table and kitchen all feel part of the poolside. A low sofa scattered with cushions sits beneath a wall of woven baskets, a chunky timber table seats everyone, and the kitchen counter, lined with stools, is the natural spot for morning coffee. Outside, cushioned loungers and fringed umbrellas line the deck, with more sunbeds set on the grass for lazy afternoons.

All four bedrooms have king beds, air conditioning, a television and an ensuite, and several bathrooms feature freestanding stone tubs and pebble-bowl basins. Welcome drinks greet you on arrival, and daily housekeeping, a gardener and a villa manager take care of the rest. Berawa Beach is around 700 metres away, with the area’s well-known cafés, restaurants and boutiques all close at hand.
