Villa Omari

Villa Omari is a bold, contemporary home on Kata Hill, built in polished concrete, glass and warm timber, with views that sweep across the hills of southern Phuket to the sea. It is a short trip down to Kata Beach and its cafés and restaurants, yet up here everything feels private and calm. Five king-bedded suites, generous living spaces on several levels and a rooftop lawn made for long evenings make it an easy choice for a group of friends or two or three families travelling together.

The ten-metre infinity pool runs along the front of the house with sun loungers lined up beside it, and in the late afternoon the light over the hills turns the water gold. Up top, the rooftop is the villa’s signature: a grassy terrace with a plunge pool, rattan sofas, sun loungers and a barbecue, looking out over the bay as the sun sets. Inside, an open-plan living room with full-height windows flows into a dining area with hand-carved wooden benches and a modern, fully equipped kitchen.

Downstairs is the space the children will claim first: a cinema room with a projector screen and a games level with a pool table, foosball and air hockey. All five bedrooms have king beds and their own bathrooms, with a freestanding bathtub in the master suite and walk-in showers in the others. Breakfast is included, a chef can cook other meals on request, and housekeeping and 24-hour security look after the villa. For bigger groups, Villa Omari can be booked together with its neighbour, Villa Momo, for ten bedrooms in total.
