Villa Onyx

Villa Onyx is a private, walled pool home in Nai Harn, the quiet, green corner at Phuket’s southern tip, only a couple of minutes’ drive from Nai Harn Beach. Four bedrooms sleep eight, split evenly between two king rooms and two twin rooms, which makes it a natural fit for two couples, or a family with children who each want their own space. Past guests come back to the same word again and again: peaceful.

The long, deep blue pool runs the length of the garden, lined with loungers and backed by a thick screen of tropical planting that keeps the world out. At one end sits a covered sala, part lounge and part dining room, with cushioned built-in seating around a table that comes into its own on warm evenings. Lawns and flower beds frame the terrace, and the wooded hills of Nai Harn rise behind the roofline. Once the sun goes down, the pool lights glow and the whole house is mirrored in the water.

Indoors, a large L-shaped sofa faces a big television, with glass doors opening straight onto the pool and views out to the hills. An eight-seat dining table sits beside a sleek kitchen with dark timber cabinets and a breakfast counter. The two king bedrooms look over the pool through wide glass doors, and the master bathroom has a deep bathtub and a walk-in shower. The two twin rooms are bright and simple, ideal for children or friends. Housekeeping is included, and a chef can be arranged to cook at the villa.
