Villa Sayam

Villa Sayam is a sleek white villa on the hillside above Bophut, looking out over palm tops and the island’s green hills to a wide band of sea. A serene stone Buddha sits at the edge of the infinity pool, gazing out over the view, and the whole house is wrapped in glass, so light and breeze pour through every room. It is calm, modern and easy to live in, a lovely base for a family or a small group of friends, with Bophut beach and Fisherman’s Village a short drive down the hill.

Outdoors, the pool runs along the terrace beneath a striking timber-clad roof, with sunloungers on the deck and a shaded dining table that faces straight out to sea. A second seating area with rattan armchairs catches the afternoon breeze, and an outdoor lounge with cushioned sofas is made for slow afternoons with a book. Tropical planting and sculptures frame the edges, giving privacy without closing off the view.

Inside, the open-plan living room has white sofas, a smart TV and glass walls that slide back to the terrace, with a long timber dining table and a modern kitchen with an island alongside. Three king bedrooms each have air conditioning and their own bathroom, and floor-to-ceiling windows bring in the greenery and glimpses of the sea.
