Villa Sereniwood 2
Why We Recommend Villa Sereniwood 2
Villa Sereniwood 2 is a contemporary three-bedroom pool villa tucked into the lush hillside of Hua Thanon, on Koh Samui’s quieter southeast coast. It shares a small development with its sibling, Sereniwood 1, but has its own distinct character — softer colour tones, minimalist furnishings, and a more even bedroom layout that lends a calmer, more pared-back feel. The single-storey, 180-square-metre design rises beneath vaulted timber ceilings and clerestory windows, floor-to-ceiling glass doors sliding open from every bedroom onto the pool terrace, blurring the line between polished interior and jungle beyond.
The setting is one of Hua Thanon’s great appeals. Behind the villa, dense jungle climbs toward the mountains and the Na Muang Waterfalls under five kilometres away; in front, the land opens to rice paddies and fields, the traditional fishing village and its quiet beach under a kilometre’s walk. This is one of Samui’s last authentically Thai neighbourhoods — a Muslim fishing community of brightly painted longtails and a daily seafood market — with the red temple of Wat Sila Ngu a short drive along the coast, and Lamai and Chaweng about fifteen minutes away when you want more energy.
Where Sereniwood 1 builds its drama around a soaring double-height master, Villa 2 takes a more even-handed approach — all three bedrooms on one level with consistent ceiling heights, a layout that feels balanced and egalitarian. The master has a generous en-suite, while a second double and a flexible twin share the remaining bathrooms, and the open-plan living and dining area is anchored by a modern kitchen island with breakfast-bar seating and a deep-cushioned sofa facing a large screen. Both villas keep separate pools and private gardens, a natural pairing for larger groups.
