Villa The Ridge Eight

Villa The Ridge Eight is the kind of place where you open the curtains and simply stop. High on the hillside above Bangrak, in a small, secure estate of eight contemporary villas, it looks out over a vast sweep of green hills, rooftops and sea on Samui’s north coast. The architecture is crisp and modern, all white walls, pale timber and floor-to-ceiling glass, with splashes of blue art that echo the colours outside.

The infinity pool runs along the edge of the terrace, its water lining up with the horizon so swimmers seem to float above the island. Sun loungers sit beside it, and a sunken outdoor lounge with curved, cushioned seating is the spot for an afternoon read or a drink as the light softens. Wide sliding doors pull back so the living room and terrace become one long, breezy space.

Inside there is a large L-shaped sofa, a dining table for eight and a modern kitchen with a breakfast counter, all bathed in natural light. Four king bedrooms each have their own bathroom, and the master suite has a private balcony and a freestanding bathtub by the window. The villa can also be booked as a three-bedroom stay for smaller groups, and Big Buddha, Bangrak and Fisherman’s Village are all just a short drive away.
