Villa Toba

Villa Toba brings together the warmth of traditional Bali and the ease of a modern family home, in a quiet village pocket of Canggu just minutes from the surf and sunsets of Echo Beach. Thatched pavilions, frangipani trees and timber decks frame a sparkling pool, while inside, carved wood, natural stone and handmade ceramics give every room a sense of place. It is the kind of house that feels lived-in and loved from the moment you arrive.

The open-plan living, dining and kitchen space sits on the ground floor of the main pavilion and opens straight onto the pool deck, so everyone stays connected whether they are cooking, reading on the deep sofas or watching a film on the big screen. A long teak table seats the whole group for dinner, and the in-house chef and staff can prepare Indonesian favourites or international dishes on request. Outside, sun loungers and bean bags line the deck, and the garden has room for a barbecue on warm evenings.

The four bedrooms are spread for privacy. The master suite has its own pavilion, opening onto both the pool deck and a private porch, while a second ground-floor pavilion bedroom steps straight out to the water. Upstairs, two further rooms in the main pavilion have side balconies for slow morning coffees, and every bedroom has its own bathroom, several with deep stone tubs and open-air garden showers. A villa manager leads a team of chef, housekeepers and security, with breakfast included each day.
