Villa Viva Panwa
Why We Recommend Villa Viva Panwa
Villa Viva Panwa sits among old tropical trees on the Cape Panwa peninsula, Phuket’s quiet south-eastern tip, looking out across a bay scattered with green islands. Built in warm timber and terracotta-toned stone across two pavilions, it feels sheltered and private, yet it lies within a resort estate with its own private beach, so guests have the run of a small world beyond the villa gates. It suits one or two families who want space, sea views and plenty for children to do.
The villa’s twelve-metre pool runs along the front of the house towards the water, with a separate shallow pool for little ones beside it, and the terraces catch the sunrise over the islands. Inside, polished wood floors run through a relaxed living room with deep sofas, a long dining table for eight and an open kitchen with a large island, all opening onto the greenery. Across the wider estate, guests can use the private beach, a beach pool, a gym, steam rooms, tennis courts, kayaks, a kids’ club, a spa and restaurants, with buggies to get around.
Three king bedrooms each have their own bathroom: two with indulgent bathtubs and open-air showers, and the third with an open-air bathtub among the trees. The fourth room is a children’s room with four single beds and its own bathroom, perfect for siblings or cousins. Daily housekeeping, estate security and welcome drinks with a tropical fruit basket are part of the stay, and a chef can cook breakfast, lunch or dinner in the villa.
