Villa Waimarie

Villa Waimarie is a cluster of Thai-style pavilions set in more than three thousand square metres of tropical garden on the southern stretch of Lipa Noi, one of Koh Samui’s calmest and quietest beaches. Steep timber roofs, carved panels and bright turquoise cushions give it a warm, relaxed character, and from the lawn the view runs across shallow, gentle water to the Five Islands. It is the kind of place where children run between the pool, the beach and the playground all day while the adults barely move from the sala.

The fifteen-metre pool stretches along the beachfront, lined with loungers and big parasols, with a thatched sala at one end for shade and long lunches. A private tennis court sits in the gardens, and kayaks are ready for paddling out across the bay. The main living pavilion opens wide onto the terrace, with deep sofas and the sea breeze drifting through, and meals are served in an open dining pavilion with a long table beside a fully equipped kitchen.

The six bedrooms are spread through the gardens for real privacy, each with its own bathroom, and several have four-poster beds and doors onto their own terraces. There are three king rooms, two twin rooms and a children’s room with bunk beds, so it works beautifully for two or three families together. Breakfast is included, a villa manager and chef look after everything, and airport transfers are included both ways.
