Baan Kularb
Why We Recommend Baan Kularb
Kularb means rose in Thai, and this beachfront villa wears the name lightly: splashes of hot pink against white walls, warm timber and a garden that runs straight to the bay. Everything at Baan Kularb is on one level, a run of low pavilions linked by paths and lawn, which makes it one of the easiest houses on the Dhevatara Residence estate for families with small children or anyone who would rather skip the stairs.
The living pavilion is the heart of it. Glass doors fold right back so the L-shaped sofa and dining table open to the pool terrace, and stepping stones cross a koi pond to a kitchen with its own breakfast bar. Outside, a blue-tiled twelve-metre infinity pool sits between the lawn and the shore, lined with loungers and umbrellas, with a Thai-style sala for shade and an outdoor spot with a barbecue for evenings that start at sunset and drift on under the lights.
The best bedroom is in its own beachfront pavilion, with a canopied four-poster bed, a deep bathtub and glass doors that open straight onto the pool terrace. Breakfast is included each day, and a villa manager, private chef and housekeeping team take care of the rest. Fisherman’s Village is around six minutes by car, and neighbouring Dhevatara Residence villas can be added for larger groups.
