Dara and Irena are two adjoining villas that work as one, and the arrangement solves a problem most large villas cannot. Instead of five bedrooms opening off a single corridor, you get two complete houses side by side — two pools, two kitchens, two living rooms and two rooftop terraces — so a group can be together all day and genuinely apart in the evening.

The styling is coastal without being themed: white walls, teak furniture, woven pendants and framed ocean photography, with bamboo pergolas shading each rooftop and deep teal parasols above the loungers. Both living rooms open straight onto their own pool, and each kitchen is fully equipped, which means two families can cook and eat on different schedules without negotiating.

All five bedrooms are en-suite and each carries a workspace desk — a small detail that makes this an easy villa for longer stays. The setting is the quieter northern edge of Canggu, where rice fields still run between the houses and the cafés are local rather than queued, while the beach and the busier strip stay a short drive away.
