Villa Belle Choeng Mon

Horizon Villa Belle sits high on a hillside above Plai Laem Bay, on Koh Samui’s peaceful north-east tip, with wide views over the turquoise Gulf of Thailand, the curve of the coast and the little islands scattered offshore. It is part of a quiet gated estate just above Choeng Mon, so the soft sand and calm, shallow water of Choeng Mon Beach are only a short hop away, while Chaweng’s restaurants and shops are an easy drive. Light floods in through walls of glass, and the sea seems to be in view from almost every room.

The pool level is the villa’s showpiece. An infinity pool stretches along the upper floor with a broad sun deck and loungers, its edge seeming to spill straight into the bay below, and beside it a sunken lounge and a covered pavilion offer shade between swims. An outdoor table for four is the place for breakfast with a view or dinner as the sky changes colour. Inside, there are two living rooms: one on the pool level alongside the open, modern kitchen and a dining table for six, with four more seats at the island, and a second, sunny lounge on the lower floor with deep sofas for quieter moments.

Five bedrooms are spread across the villa, all air-conditioned and with their own bathrooms, several with sea views and deep bathtubs. The master suite sits beside the pool with glass doors on three sides, a private terrace, a study corner and a garden-style bathroom with a terrazzo tub and rain shower. Three bedrooms have king beds, and two have twin beds that can be joined to make a king, which keeps things flexible for families and friends. Housekeeping, security, a gardener and pool care are all provided, and a private chef, massages, a car and driver can be arranged.
