Katamanda Villa Eden

Villa Eden is a grand Thai-style home within the gated Katamanda estate, on the hillside between Kata and Kata Noi, with steep tiered rooflines, deep timber decks and a view that rolls across forested hills to a glimpse of the sea. It is wonderfully private behind its gardens, yet restaurants are around five minutes away on foot, and both Kata and Kata Noi beaches are within an easy walk. With five king suites it is a natural choice for larger families or two or three families sharing.

Outside, a long blue pool of twelve and a half metres stretches along a wide timber deck, set with loungers and bright orange parasols, and it glows a deep violet as the sun goes down. The covered outdoor lounge beside it is where the days drift by, with deep sofas, ceiling fans and a long dining table, all open to the breeze and the view. Indoors there is a second, more formal living room, a separate media room with a large screen for film nights, a formal dining room and a sleek white kitchen with an island and plenty of space to cook.

All five bedrooms have king beds, most of them elegant four-posters set against deep green walls, with dark timber floors, generous wardrobes and big windows onto the greenery. Each has its own modern bathroom, several with deep tubs as well as rain showers. A quiet treatment room lined with bookshelves is ready for in-villa massages, daily housekeeping keeps everything immaculate, and guests can use the Katamanda estate tennis court.
