Villa Allegra

Villa Allegra stands high on the hillside above Kata, where the view runs over palm tops and terracotta roofs to the Andaman Sea. It is an elegant, generous house, with warm timber ceilings, rich wooden floors and walls of glass that slide away to let the breeze in. Five bedrooms and room for ten make it a natural fit for a family holiday or a group of friends, and Kata’s beach, cafés and restaurants are an easy trip down the hill.

Life here is lived around the long infinity pool, finished in vivid blue mosaic and lined with loungers and big striped umbrellas. Beyond it, outdoor sofas and a tiled-roof gazebo on the lawn look straight out to sea, and a covered terrace with a hanging chair is the place for a slow morning coffee. Inside, a vast sectional sofa and a large Smart TV fill the main living room, a long table seats everyone for dinner, and the modern kitchen has a big island plus a poolside counter for drinks and snacks.

The bedrooms are calm and airy, most with four-poster king beds, timber ceilings and glass doors opening to balconies or terraces with ocean or garden views. Every room has its own bathroom, and the master suite adds a sofa corner, a jetted bathtub, twin basins and a walk-in shower. One room also has an extra single bed, handy for a child. Breakfast is included, a chef can cook lunch and dinner on request, and a villa manager and housekeeping team look after the house.
