Mia Beach Villa

Mia Beach Villa sits right on the sand on the quieter northern stretch of Chaweng Beach, the longest and best-loved beach on Koh Samui. A manicured lawn lined with coconut palms runs from the house straight down to the water, with loungers and parasols set out under the trees, so the sea is never more than a few steps away. The whole villa is dressed in crisp white with touches of aquamarine and filled with Asian sculpture and artwork, giving it a cool, calm and quietly grand feel, while Chaweng’s restaurants and shops are just along the beach.

Everything revolves around a 23-metre lap pool in shimmering green stone, with a canopied sunken lounge set right in the middle of the water, a lovely spot for an afternoon read or a drink as the pool lights come on at dusk. The living and dining rooms sit in a traditional pavilion with high vaulted ceilings, opening straight onto the pool and garden, and there is a second lounge on the shaded porch. Meals can be served at the long table indoors or alfresco to the sound of the waves, and a modern kitchen with a breakfast counter sits just behind. Tucked into the garden are an outdoor jacuzzi and a massage sala.

Six king-bedded suites each have their own bathroom with a deep stone soaking tub, and the master suite adds a draped four-poster bed and its own lounge. Two pairs of rooms interconnect, which makes the villa a natural fit for families with children. Mia Beach Villa is part of the Mia estate, whose clubhouse adds a home cinema, a gym, a steam room, massage rooms and a kids’ club. Breakfast and return airport transfers are included, and a friendly team of housekeepers, a guest manager and security look after the villa.
