Villa Yee Sip

Samujana Villa 20 sits right down by the rocky shoreline at the foot of the estate, so instead of looking down on the sea from a hillside, you live almost beside it. A lawn rolls out to the rocks and the open water, palms lean over the terraces, and the colour of the bay changes from pale aqua to deep blue through the day. It is one of the most generous homes on the estate, with over a thousand square metres of living space for up to eleven guests.

The infinity pool, nineteen metres long, wraps around the front of the house and seems to merge straight into the sea, with sun loungers and big parasols along its edge and a whitewashed cabana with bright cushions perched above the water. Inside, the living room is built around a sunken sitting area piled with cushions, and the whole space opens onto the pool and the view. There are two dining areas, a contemporary concrete kitchen with a long breakfast island, a media room with a vast sofa and a well-equipped gym. Pebbled ponds and a shaded garden pavilion add quiet corners away from the pool.

The five bedrooms all have sliding glass doors onto private outdoor spaces, their own bathrooms with large showers, and air conditioning. Four have king beds, the fifth is a twin room, and a separate bunk room is perfect for younger children. Breakfast, housekeeping and return airport transfers are included, and a guest assistant is on hand to book trips and tables around the island.
