Samujana Villa 8 is the estate’s nature lover’s retreat: a low, white pavilion house set among giant granite boulders and tumbling jungle greenery, high above Choeng Mon with sweeping views across the bay to the islands. The rocks are part of the architecture here, framing the pool, rising beside the terraces and even forming one wall of the media room. It feels secluded and organic, a place where the light shifts across the stone all day and the sunsets over the water are worth stopping for.

The saltwater pool wraps around the boulders like a natural lagoon, with a timber deck and sunbeds along one side and a clear view out to sea. At night the rocks are lit from below and the whole garden turns golden. The open living pavilion has deep white sofas and doors that slide away to the pool, and a separate lounge with purple sofas offers a quieter corner. A dining table for everyone sits right by the water with the bay beyond, a formal dining room is there for in-villa meals, and the kitchen is fully equipped. For lazy evenings, the media room is built into the hillside itself.

The four king bedrooms are calm and contemporary, with splashes of plum and fuchsia, and each has its own bathroom, several with glass walls onto green, plant-filled courtyards. Two of the bedrooms open straight onto the garden. Breakfast is included every day, a villa manager and housekeeper look after the details, and the gardener keeps the grounds immaculate.
