Siray Serenity Pool Villa

Siray Serenity Pool Villa is a new, light-filled home set into a wooded hillside on Phuket’s quiet east coast, with the sea opening up beyond the treetops. Sliding glass walls fold back so the living room, the infinity-edge pool and the view all run together, and the mood is calm from the moment you arrive. Phuket Town is only around a quarter of an hour away, yet up here the only sounds are the breeze in the trees and birdsong from the forest.

The main lounge is the place everyone ends up: a vast, cloud-soft sectional sofa faces the bay, with warm timber panelling, a TV and a glass atrium where a living tree rises straight through the house. A long timber dining table sits against a wall of hand-laid stone beside the open kitchen, which is fully equipped for cooking at home. Outside, loungers line the pool deck, a jacuzzi adds a warm soak after a swim, and an outdoor dining spot makes the most of balmy evenings.

Five bedrooms spread across more than a thousand square metres of house and grounds, so a big family or a few couples each get their own space. Three have king beds and two have twin beds, all with air conditioning and their own bathroom, and the largest suite adds a sea-view sitting area, a dressing area and big windows onto the treetops. Several bathrooms have deep freestanding tubs, bathrobes and good toiletries are provided, and breakfast is included each morning, with a villa manager and daily housekeeping taking care of the rest.
