The Emerald Hill Beach Villa

The Emerald Hill Beach Villa is a warm, tropical home right on the beach at Bang Po, on Samui’s quiet north-west coast. Dark timber, peaked roofs and tall glass walls frame a lawn that runs down to the sand, with casuarinas and palms casting shade and the sea glittering just beyond the pool. It is an intimate, easy place for a family with young children, with the calm of Bang Po’s shoreline on the doorstep and sunset views across the water.

The ten-metre pool sits right at the edge of the garden overlooking the sea, with sun loungers lined up on the lawn and kayaks ready for a paddle along the shore. An open-sided living pavilion with sofas and egg chairs looks straight out to the water, and evenings are made for watching the light fade from the terrace. The main house has a double-height living room with sliding doors and a sculptural open staircase, a second lounge, a dining table beside the garden and a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, microwave and toaster.

The master bedroom faces the ocean with direct access to the beach, and its bathroom has a round soaking tub. A twin room has two single beds, and a third room with bunk beds is designed for children. A villa manager and daily housekeeping look after everything, breakfast is included and a return airport transfer is part of the stay, while a chef can be arranged for other meals.
