Villa Anar

Villa Anar sits on a quiet, palm-lined stretch of Bang Po on Koh Samui’s north-west coast, with its lawn running straight onto the sand and nothing ahead but calm water and the outline of distant islands. The bedroom pavilions are arranged around a broad, T-shaped pool, much of it shallow enough for young children to splash safely, with a jacuzzi set into the water and loungers on a timber sun deck facing the sea. Between the pool and the beach there is a wide lawn, a canopied daybed, a massage sala and plenty of shady corners for an afternoon with a book. As the sun drops, the lights come up under the water and the whole villa glows against the evening sky.

Inside, the open-plan living and dining space is bright and artful, with deep sofas, a wall-mounted TV and a long teak table that seats ten, all looking out to the sea. The open kitchen is fitted with premium German appliances, a wine cooler and a built-in coffee machine. All five bedrooms have king beds, air conditioning and tall glass doors onto the pool, and the master looks straight out to the ocean.
