The Loft Edry

A curved scarlet sofa, a pair of red pouffes and a canary-yellow console: The Loft Edry does not do beige. This two-bedroom villa pairs polished concrete and black-framed glass with bold contemporary art and splashes of colour, creating a home that feels playful and gallery-like while staying cool and easy to live in.

The private pool is the centrepiece, a long dark rectangle flanked by a strip of lawn, a teak sun deck and loungers. On one side the open living and dining pavilion sits under a timber ceiling, with a white oval table for six and a fully equipped kitchen alongside; on the other, the bedroom wing is fronted by floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open straight onto the deck, so the first thing you see each morning is the water.

The Loft Edry sits in a peaceful part of Ubud, north of the town centre, with the rice terraces, temples, markets and restaurants that draw people to the island’s cultural heart all within a short drive. It suits couples travelling together or a small family wanting a stylish, low-key base with space to swim and unwind between outings.
