Trisara Ocean Front Residence 31 sits right on the water’s edge at Nai Thon, on Phuket’s peaceful north-west coast, with the waves breaking on the rocks just beyond the garden and a path down to the sand below. Tiered orange-tiled roofs, carved Thai details and walls of glass give it the look of a classic island pavilion, while the sea fills almost every view. Evenings here are all about the sun sinking into the Andaman Sea, watched from the pool deck with a cool drink in hand.

The infinity pool wraps around the front of the house, dotted with planters of bright bougainvillea, and seems to pour straight into the ocean. Weathered teak decks hold sun loungers and big umbrellas, a lantern-lit sala makes a lovely spot for dinner outside, and a covered terrace with deep cushioned seating faces the sunset. Inside, high coffered ceilings glow with warm lighting over generous living rooms and a long dining table, with sliding doors opening straight out to the pool and the sea.

The four bedrooms each have a queen bed, air conditioning and a calm, elegant mix of polished timber, soft fabrics and Thai artwork, and most open to sea or garden views. A separate media room, complete with a grand piano and a big screen, is a cosy retreat on lazy afternoons. Breakfast is included every morning, a private chef can cook lunch and dinner on request, and daily housekeeping keeps the house spotless, while the trails of Sirinat National Park are only minutes away.
