Trisara Ocean Front Residence 8

Trisara Ocean Front Residence 8 is a grand, Thai-inspired private estate within the Trisara resort on Phuket’s north-west coast, close to the quiet sands of Nai Thon Beach. Its steep-roofed pavilions, carved gables and stone stairways are set among towering coconut palms on a slope that runs down towards the Andaman Sea, so the whole place feels hidden away in its own tropical garden. With ten bedrooms and room for up to twenty guests, it is a rare find for a large family or several families travelling together.

The centrepiece is a long, sea-green infinity pool lined with loungers and big umbrellas, its far edge dropping away to views of the open water. Curtained daybeds in an open sala look out over the treetops to the sea, a traditional gazebo shelters its own small pool, and at dusk the lanterns and lit pavilions reflect in the still water. Indoors, warm teak floors, gilded panels and soaring timber ceilings set the tone across several living rooms and two dining spaces, one with a long table that seats the whole group.

The residence has its own facilities for slow days at home: a tiered home cinema with reclining seats, a fully equipped gym with sea views, a spa with treatment rooms, and an open-sided pavilion that works beautifully for yoga or quiet reflection. The ten bedrooms each have their own bathroom and air conditioning, with rich Thai fabrics and artwork, and breakfast is included every morning.
