Villa Acacia

Villa Acacia sits right on the sand at Mae Nam, on the calm north coast of Koh Samui, in a small private estate of beachfront homes. Tall coconut palms frame the garden, the lawn runs down to a quiet stretch of beach, and across the water the hills of Koh Phangan rise on the horizon. The bay here is gentle and good for swimming, and the whole villa is laid out on a single level, so it is wonderfully easy for families with young children or older relatives.

A fifteen-metre pool stretches along the garden towards the sea, finished at the beach end by a Thai sala with a canopy daybed and an outdoor table for six, the best place for long lunches and sunsets. Indoors, a high timber-roofed great room is decorated in cool turquoise and soft whites, with plush sofas, a daybed facing the beach and a dining table for eight against a painted feature wall. Beside it, a well-equipped kitchen in light wood and dark granite opens off the dining room, and there is a fitted gym for anyone keeping up a routine.

Four spacious bedrooms each have their own marble bathroom with a bathtub and a large shower looking onto a small private garden. Two have king beds and two have twin beds, ideal for children or friends, and every room has a desk by the window and air conditioning. Daily breakfast is included, prepared by the villa’s own staff, and Mae Nam’s beachside restaurants and shops are within an easy stroll.
