Villa Amala

Villa Amala tucks itself down a quiet side lane just off Seminyak’s famous Eat Street, so some of Bali’s best restaurants, boutiques and cocktail bars are a stroll from the gate, yet behind its walls the noise simply melts away. It is a polished, compact three-bedroom home set within a small enclave of private villas, ideal for a family or two couples who want to walk everywhere and still come home to their own pool.

A nine-metre pool sits at the centre of the plot, wrapped in tropical planting and watched over by a carved Buddha water feature, with sunloungers on the deck for lazy afternoons. Tall glass doors fold back from the living pavilion under its soaring thatched ceiling, linking a plush lounge, a six-seat dining table and a sleek, fully equipped kitchen straight to the water. Upstairs, a rooftop bale with rattan sofas catches the breeze and makes a lovely perch for a sundowner.

The master suite opens directly onto the pool and has a partly open-air bathroom with a tub set among greenery, while the two further bedrooms share a bathroom with a deep soaking bath. Petitenget beach and the beach clubs of Seminyak are within easy reach, and the airport is around thirty minutes away.
