Villa Ayuddha

Villa Ayuddha’s pool doesn’t run in a straight line. It curves around a raised island of red cordyline and palms, so swimming a length feels more like drifting along a garden stream, and the beanbag loungers on the teak deck look straight onto the bend. Above, the two-storey house wears a fringe of hanging vines, and a pergola-shaded upper floor catches the breeze. It is one of four private villas on the Anandathu estate in Pererenan, and the only one with this sweeping, garden-wrapped pool.

Inside, everything flows from one long room. A kitchen with a stone-topped island and bar stools leads to a six-seat dining table under downlights, and a separate lounge corner with teak armchairs looks out through tall timber-framed glass to the lawn. Doors slide open to the deck for breezy days, or close for air-conditioned calm. Three bedrooms are upstairs, each with its own bathroom; the master has a king bed, a balcony over the garden and a freestanding tub beside an indoor planted corner.

Breakfast is included each morning, so days can start slowly by the water before a short drive to Pererenan Beach for surf, or into the cafés and restaurants of Pererenan and Canggu. In the evenings the estate is quiet, with night security on site. Families or friends travelling together can also book the neighbouring villas on the same estate, each fully private.
