Villa Camellia

From the front gate of Villa Camellia it is about fifty metres to the sand of Jimbaran Bay, close enough to wander down barefoot for a sunrise swim and be back before the coffee is poured. Behind the walls, a broad frangipani shades a lawn, a ten-metre pool and a row of loungers, while the two-storey house rises behind in pale stone and dark timber, renovated in 2023.

Glass doors slide open along the ground floor, so the lounge, the dining table and the kitchen with its wine fridge all run straight out to the terrace. Two bedrooms sit at garden level, one of which can be made up as a twin, and the master suite has the whole upper floor, with a walk-in wardrobe, a sunken tub framed by tropical greenery and a balcony daybed under a gauzy canopy. Higher still, a shaded rooftop terrace with deep sofas looks down over the pool and treetops.

Breakfast is included every day and can be laid out indoors, by the pool or up on the roof, with a floating breakfast, a chef and in-villa massages available on request at extra cost. A villa manager, attendants and security look after the house. Kedonganan’s fish market and the seafood grills along Jimbaran Beach are moments away, Samasta Lifestyle Village is under two kilometres off, and the airport is around a fifteen-minute drive.
