Villa Endana
Why We Recommend Villa Endana
A soaring white arch frames the living room at Villa Endana, two storeys of glass rising behind it, with a small indoor jungle of palms and philodendrons growing right inside. In front, a freeform pool curves across the courtyard like a lagoon, with woven loungers set in the shallows and a sunken stone seat stepping down beside the water. It is a new, design-led six-bedroom home on a quiet street in Umalas, and it makes a striking first impression.
The ground floor flows from the lounge, with its long modular sofas and that planted glass wall, through to a long timber dining table and a warm walnut kitchen lit by woven pendants. Floor-to-ceiling sliders open everything onto the pool deck, and the pool catches the sun for most of the day. After dark, lights in the water and under the curving eaves give the whole courtyard a soft, golden glow.
The bedrooms carry the same calm palette of stone, oak and linen, each with a king bed, its own bathroom and an arched headboard detail, and several open straight to the garden or pool. A few bathrooms have freestanding tubs beneath skylights. Housekeeping, pool and garden care are included, a cook can prepare meals in the villa, and the cafés of Umalas are a short drive away, with Berawa and Seminyak beaches easy to reach.
