A tiny frangipani island floats in the middle of Villa Jabali’s free-form pool, shaded by its own tree, and it sets the playful, easygoing mood of the whole place. Under soaring alang-alang thatched roofs, this five-bedroom villa sits on a peaceful lane in central Seminyak, wrapped in around 670 square metres of lawn and tropical garden.
The main pavilion opens straight onto the twelve-metre pool, with deep cushioned sofas, a vintage timber dining table for eight and a covered barbecue nook close by. When the afternoon heat peaks, there is a second sitting room and an air-conditioned media room with a home theatre to retreat to. Out back, a hidden corner of the garden holds a hammock and a carved stone bathtub, the kind of spot you find on day two and keep returning to.
Families love it here: the soft lawn gives children room to run, a pool fence and baby cot can be arranged, and a team of five looks after the villa around the clock. Bintang Supermarket is a short walk away, the beach is roughly a kilometre down the road, and Seminyak’s restaurants and boutiques are all within easy reach.
