Villa Jaliza

Villa Jaliza rises in tiers from the coconut groves high above Chaweng Noi, around eighty metres above the sea, and its walls of sliding glass frame one long, uninterrupted panorama of palm canopy, coastline and open water. It is a striking contemporary home of white stone, warm timber ceilings and bold modern art, spread over more than eight hundred square metres. Despite the sense of seclusion, Chaweng’s beaches, shops and restaurants are only a few minutes’ drive away.

Outside, an eleven-metre infinity pool runs the length of the terrace, lined with timber sun loungers and red cushions, and a shaded sala with built-in sofas sits right on the edge, watching the light change over the bay. At night the pool glows electric blue beneath the illuminated villa, and the sunken outdoor lounge becomes the place to linger. Inside, a long open-plan living room with a huge corner sofa and big-screen TV leads to a sleek white kitchen with a stone-topped island, plus a pool table room and a well-equipped gym with views into the trees.

Seven bedrooms spread across the levels make it a natural fit for several families or a large group of friends. The suites are bright and airy under carved timber screens and wooden ceilings, with sea or garden views, and several bathrooms have freestanding tubs set beside the glass. One room is a playful loft-style space with a round porthole window, which younger guests tend to claim first. A guest manager, housekeepers and security staff look after the villa, and return airport transfers are included.
