Villa Kashantre Blue

Cobalt-tiled water against bright white stone is the first thing you notice at Villa Kashantre Blue, a crisp two-storey villa in Legian where blue accents run from the pool to the cushions and artwork. The pavilions wrap around a private courtyard, flowers spill from the upper balconies, and every door seems to open onto the water, giving the whole house a light, airy, holiday-from-the-first-minute feel.

The eight-metre pool sits right in the middle, with a raised jacuzzi at one end and blue sunloungers lined along the pale stone deck, so bedrooms open almost straight onto a morning swim. Beside it, a thatched open-air lounge with deep sofas is the place for long afternoons in the shade. Indoors, a large living room with sliding doors and a television leads to a dining table for twelve and a big kitchen with a breakfast counter and a second full-size fridge, and upstairs a further lounge with its own balcony houses a table tennis table.

The bedrooms are calm and white, with four-poster king beds draped in netting and sleek bathrooms with twin basins and rain showers; the master has an outdoor bathtub set in its own little garden. A team of six looks after housekeeping, the garden and the pool, and an airport pick-up on arrival is included. Legian’s restaurants and shops are a short walk away, with Legian Beach and Double Six Beach close by and Seminyak just to the north.
