Villa Santi

Tucked down a quiet lane in Seminyak, Villa Santi feels like a classic Balinese compound of your own: terracotta-roofed pavilions with deep verandas, a long turquoise pool running down the middle, and clipped lawns edged with tropical planting. Step through the gate and the scooters and boutiques of Seminyak fall away, yet the beach is only around a ten-minute walk.

Days here drift between the water and the shade. The pool is lined with bright red sunloungers and umbrellas, there is a bubbling jacuzzi at one end and a thatched gazebo for an afternoon nap, and a barbecue sits ready for evenings outdoors. Indoors, a vaulted alang-alang ceiling soars over an open living room, a long dining table and a fully equipped kitchen, while a billiard table and a calm, dedicated yoga corner give everyone their own way to unwind.

The four bedrooms are spread across the pavilions, each air-conditioned, draped in mosquito nets and opening onto the garden or pool, with ensuite bathrooms that feature rain showers and, in several rooms, sculptural stone tubs set in open-air courtyards. Breakfast is included, a team of four keeps the house running, and Seminyak’s restaurants, galleries, spas and beach clubs such as KU DE TA are all within easy reach.
