Villa Malaikat

Villa Malaikat is the most polished kind of white — a long turquoise lap pool flanked by palms, a poolside lounge sunk into the deck and lit from beneath, and an interior that runs on marble, bouclé and warm cove lighting. The name means angel, and the villa has been styled with a certain heavenly restraint.

Living, dining and kitchen occupy a single generous room that opens fully to the water, gathered around a marble island and a solid timber table beneath woven pendants. The bathrooms swing to the opposite mood: dark stone, a freestanding tub set on a bed of river pebbles.

Two bedrooms sleep four, each with a sculptural bedhead and its own ensuite. Pererenan beach, the padel courts and the area’s spas are minutes away, though the villa is tucked into a serene lane where none of that reaches you.
