Villa Mary

Villa Mary is the largest home on the Pantai Lima Estate, a cluster of beachfront villas on the Pererenan coast, and it makes the most of every square metre. Thatched pavilions sit around a twenty-one-metre lap pool, the lawn runs out towards the sea, and from the upper floor the views stretch over the river, the ocean and the rice fields inland.

The main living pavilion is semi-open beneath a soaring alang-alang roof, with a separate air-conditioned dining room for ten and a full kitchen behind. Beside the main pool, a shallow children’s pool lets little ones splash safely while adults swim lengths. A home cinema with a huge screen and room for twenty takes care of evenings, there is table tennis and a yoga deck, a barbecue for poolside dinners, and a massage pavilion at the edge of the lawn where in-villa treatments can be booked on request. Five en-suite bedrooms, several with canopy beds, are spread across three pavilions, so everyone has a little privacy.

The house runs with a full team, including a villa manager and a private chef, and breakfast is included every day. Car hire with a driver for up to eight hours a day is part of the stay too, which makes the short drives to the restaurants of Pererenan and Canggu, Tanah Lot temple or the Seminyak beach clubs effortless. Families and larger groups can also book neighbouring Villa Melissa and Villa Ambra on the same estate.
