Villa Mia
Why We Recommend Villa Mia
Step through the gate at Villa Mia and Berawa’s buzz fades almost instantly. Two low, white-walled pavilions face each other across a bright turquoise pool, framed by frangipani and tall shade trees, and the whole place has the hush of a private garden even though the beach clubs and cafés are only a short stroll away. It is a calm, easy-going home in the Canggu area, sized just right for a family or three couples travelling together.
Life here revolves around the eight-metre pool and the lawn beside it, where sunloungers sit on soft grass under dappled shade. On one side, a vaulted living pavilion holds a big sofa lounge, a dining table for six and a fully equipped kitchen with an island, all opening straight onto the water through tall glass doors; an enclosed, air-conditioned lounge with a television makes a cool retreat for film nights. Across the pool, the bedrooms each slide open to the garden, so early swimmers are in the water within seconds of waking.
The style is relaxed and natural, with warm timber, textured stone walls and woven lanterns throughout. Breakfast is included each morning, cooked by the villa’s own team, and housekeeping, security and pool care are handled quietly in the background. Finns and Atlas beach clubs are each within a kilometre, the sand is around 950 metres away, and a supermarket sits close by for drinks and supplies.
