Villa Saan

Villa Saan is a striking modern residence on the Cape Amarin headland, the stretch of coast between Kamala and Patong known as Phuket’s Millionaires’ Mile. Built over several levels down the hillside, it is all glass, stone and dark timber, and almost every room looks straight out across the Andaman Sea. With eight bedrooms, around eighteen hundred square metres of living space and a full team of staff, it suits two or three families or a large group of friends who want room to spread out without losing the sense of being together.

The long infinity pool is the centre of everything, edged with sun loungers and day beds and with a jacuzzi set into it, so you can soak while the sun drops behind the headland. Shaded terraces and lounges wrap around the water, and the evening light here is reason enough to stay in. Indoors there are two living rooms with deep sofas and floor-to-ceiling glass, a dining room with a long table for everyone, and a kitchen fitted out for the villa’s chef, who can cook breakfast, lunch and dinner to order.

Beyond the pool deck, the villa has its own home cinema, a games room with a billiard table, a table tennis room, a gym and a spa room where massages can be booked. The bedrooms are spread across the levels, and each has an en-suite bathroom and wide sea views, with bathtubs set beside the windows in several suites. A villa manager, chef, housekeepers and night security look after the house, and Kamala’s beach, night market and restaurants are a short drive away.
