Villa Senang Residence

When night falls at Villa Senang Residence, lanterns glow along the edge of an L-shaped pool, frangipani branches throw soft shadows across the water and the evening air carries the scent of the garden. By day it is a cool, leafy hideaway a short stroll from the restaurants and boutiques of Jalan Kayu Aya, Seminyak’s famous eat street.

The pool wraps around a pebbled deck shaded by mature trees, with a jacuzzi, sun loungers and rattan sofas for long afternoons outdoors. A traditional bale with a daybed sits in one corner beside a fish pond, and a rooftop gazebo looks out over the neighbouring rooftops. Inside, the open-plan living room can be opened to the garden through glass doors or kept cool with air conditioning, while a chandelier hangs over an eight-seat dining table beside the fully equipped kitchen.

Four bedrooms each come with their own bathroom and bathtub: a king master opening onto the garden with a marble bathroom and rain shower, a second king room and two queen rooms, one with a canopied four-poster. Balinese artwork and carvings give each room its character. Breakfast is included every day, and the beaches of Petitenget and Seminyak, along with beach clubs such as Potato Head, are only a short drive away.
