Villa Tiga The Urban Retreat

Behind high walls and a screen of tropical planting, Villa Tiga is a calm, contemporary hideaway in the middle of Seminyak. Step inside and the bustle of the streets gives way to a deep, glassy pool, teak decking and the rustle of palms, yet the cafés, boutiques and beach clubs of Petitenget are only a short walk or ride away. It is the four-bedroom villa within The Urban Retreat, a small estate of three private villas.

The ground floor is open-plan and relaxed, warmed by timber ceiling beams and built-in shelving. A long communal dining table seats the whole group, the enclosed, air-conditioned lounge has a large smart TV for streaming, and the modern kitchen centres on a dark stone island with stools for breakfast and easy snacks. Glass doors open straight onto the pool deck, where cushioned sunbeds and parasols sit against a wall of greenery.

Upstairs, a wide rooftop deck works like a second living room, with lounge seating and loungers for sunbathing or watching the evening sky. The four bedrooms each have their own bathroom, air conditioning and generous built-in wardrobes, and a couple also have daybeds, handy for children. Daily housekeeping, a gardener and an in-villa cook are on hand, and a home gym on the estate keeps workouts easy.
