Villa Sesari
Why We Recommend Villa Sesari
A thatched bale floats on its own little island in the middle of Villa Sesari’s pool, reached across the water and piled with cushions for an afternoon nap. It sets the tone for this four-bedroom Seminyak villa, where tall alang-alang roofs, white pavilions and a freeform pool winding through palms and frangipani create a quiet, private world just off Oberoi Street.
The open-sided living pavilion sits right on the water, with deep sofas, Balinese art and a soaring timber ceiling that keeps the air moving. Beside it, a covered dining terrace holds a long teak table, and the modern kitchen has an island where a chef can cook while you chat. The pool itself has a shallow wading section for younger swimmers, loungers and parasols line the decks, and at night garden lighting turns the whole plot golden.
Each bedroom sits in its own pavilion for extra privacy, with carved furniture, netted beds, air conditioning and blackout curtains, and several bathrooms open to the sky; the master has a deep freestanding bathtub against a carved stone wall. Breakfast is included, and a team of five, led by a villa manager, takes care of housekeeping and evening security. From the gate, Seminyak’s restaurants, boutiques and the beach are all within walking distance.
