Villa Tirtadari
Why We Recommend Villa Tirtadari
Tall, old shade trees stand over Villa Tirtadari’s garden, and beneath them a 25-metre pool of deep green-blue stretches across the lawn, lined with a timber deck, blue umbrellas and sun loungers. Around two thousand square metres of grounds surround the house, with lamp-lit stepping-stone paths, a small wooden bridge and a traditional bale, so the whole place feels more like a private park than a Kerobokan backstreet.
The main pavilion rises under a sweeping alang-alang thatched roof, its glass doors folding back so the living room opens straight onto the lawn. Deep sofas sit beneath long-stemmed ceiling fans, a floating staircase climbs to the upper floor, and a long dining table runs beneath sculptural pendant lights. The kitchen is properly equipped, with a large island, breakfast bar and a double-door fridge, and out in the garden a covered pavilion beside the pool holds an alfresco dining table for the whole group.
The seven bedrooms are spread around the pool and garden, with some upstairs, and mix king-bedded rooms with twin and multi-bed rooms that suit families with children. High vaulted ceilings, timber interiors and sliding glass doors keep them bright, and bathrooms come with outdoor showers or natural stone tubs. Canggu’s cafes, Berawa and the surf at Echo Beach are a short drive away, with Seminyak’s restaurants close by too.
