Villa Yudhistira

Villa Yudhistira is a rare thing in Canggu: a two-bedroom villa with the grounds, pool and service of a far larger house. Tucked into a private estate of five villas near Berawa Beach, it opens onto a wide, manicured lawn and a fifteen-metre pool that runs the length of the garden, visible from almost every corner of the property. For a couple, two couples or a young family, it feels generous and completely private.

The living spaces sit in an airy timber-roofed pavilion that looks straight down the pool, with deep sofas, a hanging rattan chair and soft, warm lighting after dark. A long dining table anchors the indoor living and kitchen area, surrounded by a thoughtful mix of modern and traditional art. Outside, a stone sundeck with loungers and a parasol catches the afternoon sun, and the lawn gives children space to run while the adults book a massage by the pool.

Both bedrooms have polished timber floors, satellite TV and their own bathrooms with deep stone bathtubs, and the master slides open to the garden and water.
