Abaca Villas
Why We Recommend Abaca Villas
Arrival at Abaca Villas is through a long green tunnel of arching bamboo, a cool, lantern-lit lane that delivers you from the bustle of Petitenget to a walled estate of three neighbouring villas. Iluh, Kadek and Nyoman sit side by side around lawns and palms, linked through the garden by glass doors, so one group can spread across sixteen bedrooms while still being only a few steps apart.
Water sets the rhythm here. Four pools run through the grounds, two of them eighteen metres long, and one is crossed by a traditional bale with a glass floor looking down onto a fish pond below. Each villa has its own open-sided living room with rattan sofas and carved timber screens, a long slab dining table and a compact, fully equipped kitchen, while upstairs a mezzanine spa space with two massage beds sits beneath soaring timber rafters. Bedrooms are calm and light, most with four-poster beds draped in white linen, and glass doors opening to the gardens and pools.
A team of ten looks after the estate, with daily housekeeping, round-the-clock security and breakfast served each morning; a private chef can be arranged for other meals. Beyond the bamboo lane you are in the heart of Seminyak, a short walk from the sands of Batu Belig and Petitenget, with the area’s best restaurants, boutiques and beach clubs close by.
