River Villa

River Villa is a bold piece of modern architecture tucked into a green river valley in Pererenan. Crisp white walls and slatted timber screens rise over the treetops, and from the upper floors the view sweeps across dense jungle canopy, with a glimpse of the ocean beyond. It feels secluded and leafy, yet Babadan Beach is only around 400 metres away and Pererenan’s best cafés are close by.

Life downstairs flows around a sleek infinity-edge pool, around nine and a half metres long, which runs beneath a shaded overhang lined with low cushions and beanbags. A sunken stone lounge sits in the garden beside it, ringed with planting, and the open-plan interior keeps the same calm palette: a sofa lounge, a long timber dining table and a contemporary kitchen with an island, oven and microwave. At the top of the house, a rooftop terrace with an outdoor kitchen counter and a table for sunset drinks looks straight out over the valley.

All five bedrooms have king-size beds and their own en-suite bathrooms, finished with warm timber, soft lighting and floor-to-ceiling glass; one opens directly onto the pool, while the others look over the garden and treetops. Bathrooms include freestanding tubs and rain showers set against walls of greenery. Daily housekeeping, a personal guest assistant and round-the-clock security mean everything runs smoothly for a large family or group of friends.
