Villa Sip Haa
Why We Recommend Villa Sip Haa
Samujana Villa 15 steps down the green hillside above Choeng Mon in a series of white, flat-roofed pavilions softened by natural stone walls and tumbling frangipani. It is one of the larger four-bedroom homes on the Samujana estate, with more than seven hundred square metres of living space and a generous lawn, yet it keeps an easy, relaxed feel. From almost every terrace the eye is drawn out over the treetops to the bay and the islands beyond, and the sunsets here, reflected in the still pool, are the kind people photograph every single evening.
The saltwater infinity pool runs fifteen metres along the edge of the main terrace, lined with sun loungers, bright floor cushions and big white parasols. Behind it, a covered outdoor lounge with ceiling fans looks straight across the water, and a long timber dining table sits under the same roof with the view laid out in front of it. Indoors there is a calm, sunlit living room built around a natural boulder, a separate media room with a deep corner sofa for film nights, and a small gym with sea views for anyone keeping up a routine. Up top, a timber roof deck with loungers looks right along the coast.
All four bedrooms have king beds, air conditioning and their own en-suite bathrooms, with freestanding tubs, separate showers and private outdoor spaces. Tall timber-framed windows open the rooms onto the garden and the bay. Two staff look after the villa, with breakfast, daily housekeeping and return airport transfers included, and Choeng Mon Beach, Big Buddha and the restaurants of Fisherman’s Village are all a short drive away.
