Villa Sip Jet
Why We Recommend Villa Sip Jet
Samujana Villa 17 is built into the natural granite of the Choeng Mon headland, and the great boulders are part of the house itself: smooth grey rock rises behind the sofas and frames the edge of the pool. The style is clean, minimalist and full of light, with floor-to-ceiling glass on almost every side, so the sea feels close wherever you sit. For a villa of its size it has a remarkably large garden, more than twelve hundred square metres of tropical planting around the house.
The saltwater infinity pool is unusually wide, nearly thirteen metres by eight and a half, with a cushioned daybed at its corner and loungers set on a wooden deck above the rocks. At dusk, lights in the boulders and the pool glow against the darkening sky. Inside, a long sofa curves round the living room facing straight out over the water, a bright dining room seats the whole group beside the glass, and a separate media room offers a cosy retreat. A roof deck with loungers and a parasol looks down over the turquoise coves of the coast.
Each of the four bedrooms opens onto its own private terrace with a view. Three have king beds and one has two single beds, ideal for children or friends sharing, and every room has its own bathroom and air conditioning. One bathroom has a deep tub set against a window onto the lawn. Return airport transfers and housekeeping are included, breakfast can be arranged, and Big Buddha and Fisherman’s Village are both close by for an evening out.
