Samujana Villa 21 is the grandest home in this part of the estate, a broad, layered villa of pale stone and glass on the hillside at Plai Laem, with sweeping views over the bay towards the islands. Up to twelve guests share more than a thousand square metres of living space, and the villa has one of the largest lawns on the estate, an open green stretch for children to run on. At its heart, an indoor atrium with a stone stair, a reflecting pool and a bed of greenery brings a calm, resort-like feel to the house.

The infinity pool, eighteen metres long, sweeps around the main pavilion so that the living room seems to float on the water, with a circular daybed beside it and plenty of space for loungers and dining outdoors. As the sky turns pink at dusk the whole house glows. Indoors there is a bright open lounge, a long dining table looking out to sea, a sleek kitchen with an island and a second kitchen and dining space on the lower floor. For downtime there is a billiards and games room, a cinema with reclining loungers, a private gym and a spa room with two massage beds.

All six bedrooms have king beds, air conditioning and their own bathrooms, with double basins and freestanding tubs, and most open onto private balconies. The two master suites sit on the top floor with the best views in the house. Breakfast, housekeeping, pool care and return airport transfers are included, Choeng Mon Beach is close by, and the airport is only around five kilometres away.
